Dan Gensler is passionate about investing and financial planning. In fact, it has been his life’s work to help others with their finances because of circumstances he experienced growing up. His father made some very unfortunate decisions around money which triggered the loss of a business and the family home. It un-railed the families financial stability forever more and changed the course of life for each and every family member. At an early age, Dan was determined to make sure that he and his future family wouldn’t have that same experience.
While in college, he majored in Finance learning everything he could about investing and financial planning. He then passed the rigorous federal securities exams right out of college and shortly thereafter, earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ designation. He went on to graduate school to earn his Masters in Financial Planning with an emphasis in Wealth Management. Today, Dan remains a student of the markets and stays current with ever changing tax and estate planning laws which he and his clients have come to count on.

We do NOT charge a fee for this meeting, as it’s our way to get acquainted and mutually determine how to proceed.
We give our clients the choice on how often they like to come in and review their investments and financial plan. In general, clients come in for reviews no less than annually, while some come in as often as quarterly.
We are a boutique wealth management firm and by that we mean that our service to our clients is individualized and tailored to meet exactly what they need. Dan Gensler and his family have lived in Coronado since 1992 and he has been involved in many aspects of Coronado and the greater San Diego community. Dan currently serves as Treasurer of the Sharp Coronado Hospital Foundation, Chairman of the Parish Finance Council at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Finance Subcommittee Chair of Coronado Yacht Club. Tax planning is also an important concern and we work closely with our client’s CPA to efficiently manage this. . Estate planning is another crucial aspect of a financial plan. We help our clients think through the process of where and how to distribute their estate after their gone. Last but not least, insurance planning is part of a comprehensive financial plan. It’s a fine balance of having enough protection, but not too much.

This web-based, highly secure program allows clients to view their overall net worth at a glance, while having their financial data updated on a daily basis in real time. Access to investment reports, financial planning progress, realized gain and loss statements and snapshots of your budget, insurance and liabilities at your fingertips. Clients also have the opportunity to upload private documents such as wills, trusts, insurance policies, deeds, airline miles, hotel points and more to your own secured on-line vault. There is an initial set-up fee which is approximately $2,750 depending on complexity.
